Carl J. Pierson enjoyed a 25 year coaching career before stepping aside to take on the role of Executive Director of the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association. Prior to his appointment, he served a successful term as the association’s president. His first book, The Politics of Coaching, has become a survival guide for more than 5,000 youth and high school coaches since its publication. Lindsay Whalen is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, four-time WNBA champion, and current University of Minnesota women’s basketball coach.
